Accounts: who owns which builder
Ownership is what routes a builder's next permit to the right rep. The Accounts tab shows it, finds two reps on one builder, and moves leads without losing anything.
An owned builder's new permits route to its owner first on the This week tab. That is the whole reason ownership exists, and the Accounts tab is where it lives.
Two lists
- Duplicate outreach risk: companies more than one rep is working, with the count of reps and leads. Open one, pick an owner, and move the other reps' leads to them in one action. Two reps pitching the same builder in the same week is the most expensive mistake a branch makes, and this list is empty when you have none.
- Account ownership: which companies each rep owns. Empty at first; ownership comes from your customer file's rep column, from Claim this account on a project, or from Make it their account on a This week row.
Ownership versus history
Ownership is a statement you or your file made. History is an inference from past leads, always labelled as such (Worked them before ×3), and it never outranks a statement. One tap promotes history to ownership, and the page confirms it: Welford Construction is now Dave Lang's account. Their leads route to them automatically from here on. On a project, the ownership bar reads You own X, Owned by Priya, or Unassigned, with Claim this account, Release, and Reassign.
Moving a lead keeps everything
Reassigning a card moves it to the other rep with its stage, notes and documents intact. One case is refused on purpose: when the target rep already has that project on their board, the move would put two copies of one deal on one board, so BuildMapper says Priya Shah already has this project on their board at Quoted. Remove this copy instead of reassigning it. and the board offers exactly that.
