Move deals through the pipeline

Drag deals across stages, slice the board to find what needs you today, and keep aging leads from going cold.

This guide is hands-on — follow along in the app.
A free account takes two minutes and includes 25 project views. No card.

The pipeline is a drag-and-drop board: New → Contacted → Quoted → Won / Lost out of the box, plus any custom columns you add via the Columns manager. Each column shows its count and total contract value (Won and Lost are excluded from the running total).

The five default stages

StageIt meansExit condition
NewSaved but untouched. No contact attempt yet. You've called or emailed someone on the project.
ContactedYou've reached out at least once. They've asked for numbers — or clearly never will.
QuotedA price is in their hands.Signed contract, or a firm no.
WonSigned. Booked work.
LostDead — priced out, timing missed, or went dark.

Slice the board your way

  • Group by anything: Stage, Priority, City, Project type, Builder, Value range, or Score band — the same deals from a different angle, handy when planning a route or a region push.
  • Quick-filter chips — Hot, Overdue, Stuck, ≥ $1M, and This week narrow the board in one tap when you only want the deals that need attention right now.
  • Every card carries its age, so deals going cold surface under the Overdue and Stuck chips before they die quietly.

Keep deals warm

Create a follow-up on your Calendar and BuildMapper keeps the two linked — follow-ups aren't auto-created, so this is the habit that wins. Ask Scout "what's stuck?" on Monday mornings and clear the Overdue chip before you go hunting for new pins.

NoteUse the Columns manager to hide stages you don't use or add your own. A board that shows only your real stages is a board you'll actually keep current.
